19.02.2005 ~ Well, and look! I'm as big a slacker as always. Aren't you proud of me? ^-^ No, really, I have a good excuse. Really. Anyways, it's mostly due to work and school. I'm only in school part-time, and it's still a full-time load (12 hours of class, and almost that much in homework.) I'm not complaining, though. Neither work or school (or homework ^_~) is bothering me, as amazing as that is. First off, I just love art so much, that being in classes for 6 hours a day and then going home and doing more is more fun than stress. That is, excepting the couple of reports this semester. Those aren't fun. ^_^ As for work, I'm employed at a call center, doing customer service (no, not for AOL. I still have my soul.) Sure, I get my share of grouches and idiots (it's amazing what some of these people think... I'll explain later...), but for the most part it's fine. Not to mention the fact that I can wear whatever I want, sit at a computer all day long, and of course, use my best friend, the mute button. And I get paid nearly $550 a week for it. :D Now, as reparation for my many sins, I put up a couple pieces of art I've done over the last year, for you to view and ooh over. Also, a page that I did for my brother, with concept art for an online game we subscribe to, Adventure Quest. (It's free, so give it a try - only donate if you think you like it enough to play often, which you might. Now, I did also say that I was going to explain about the people I talk to all day long... So, here we go. I do customer service for prepaid Mastercard cards (and yes, that is the official, politically-correct way to refer to them, as redundant as it is.) As a result of being prepaid, they work the same way as your standard bank-issued credit/debit card, meaning no line of credit. It even says that right on the main page. (And seriously, how can you misunderstand the term "prepaid"?) Now, no joke, I have talked with at least one person a week who calls to ask questions about the card before getting it, that reads the stats on the card ($2500 per day spending limit, $500 per day ATM withdrawal limit), and still thinks it's a normal credit card. ($500 cash * 30 days in a month = $15,000 before the first bill is due... I'll give you a minute to recover from the magnitude of that.) Can we say... Massively Multiplayer Online Fraud? Heck, I'd be ripping off my employer if that were the case. Who'd work when you could get that kind of money by a tiny amount of identity theft? Alright, with that rant done...
